i may be in the minority here, but i really don't think that negative campaigning (whether it's political, environmental, general social activism, etc) is the way to go. people choose to live in mcmansions in the sprawling suburbs for reasons that are not altogether evil, though they are usually misguided or based on nonsustainable ideals. shaming people will never make them change their ways, only education will. the signs are funny to us, because we're "in the know," but the people that are actually buying those houses would view them as silly, nasty, or ridiculous-- which doesn't achieve anything.
sorry to be a downer, but i get annoyed when i see snarky activism as opposed to inspiration that promotes true change.
